Edwin N. Vinson of West Palm Beach, FL and Huntington, WV died November 23, 2018.  Mr. Vinson was born on August 31, 1943, son of the late Taylor and Betty Jane Nelson Vinson of Huntington.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Z. Taylor Vinson. He graduated from the Forman School, Litchfield, CT; Parsons College and received an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management, Phoenix, AZ. Mr. Vinson served under two presidents of Marshall University before joining his family business in 1978. He was a member of the Order of the First Families of Virginia, Guyan Golf and Country Club, Gypsy Club, City Club of Huntington and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.  In Florida, Mr. Vinson’s memberships included the Palm Beach Rountable and the Palm Beach Yacht Club. Survivors include his former wife, Cherry S. Vinson; three children, Col. James T. Vinson (Lindsay), Blair Vinson Morse, and Edwin N. “Ned” Vinson Jr. (Brandy) and six grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Blair Koehl of Dallas, PA and Delray Beach, FL and Betty Jane Helander of Westfield, NJ and Delray Beach, FL.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 by The Rev. Dr. Chip Graves and The Rev. James H. Morgan at Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or the Cammack Childrens Center, 64 W. 6th. Ave. Huntington, WV 25701.

Ned, I am so sorry for your loss. Spend lots of time remembering the good things, the funny things and the awesome things, and you will laugh way more than you cry. May he Rest In Peace and may perpetual light shine upon him.

To all of the Vinson Family,  I send my sincere condolences to all of you.  I will always remember riding to Cape May with Edwin at the the wheel and blasting his marching band tape over the car stereo as Cherry, Jamie, Blair, baby Ned and I were groaning. These are the fun memories that sustain us in times of loss.  Thank you for including me in your memory making events!  Hugs, Robin
