Irene was a dear friend.  She was always kind and never one to draw attention to herself.  I will miss our time together.

I got to know Irene when she lived next to my mother at Woodlands.  She was truly a beautiful lady.  She was generous, appreciative and just a lovely layperson.  I will miss her sweet smile.  Peace to her family.

Please accept my sincere sympathies on the passing of Irene. I was the director at the Huntington Museum of Art for many years while Irene served the children of our community as a docent. I enjoyed knowing her and she was always such an elegant lady. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. Sincerely, Margaret Mary

I met the Bazel children, Eddie & Patti, at Marshall University in the seventies but had only met their Mother, Irene, six years ago ! She lived at The Woodlands Retirement Community where my mother-in-law also resides.Irene and I had many mutual friends and therefore; crossed paths many times. in recent years, she ate dinner most evenings with friends and relatives while we visited. What a lovely, kind, witty, sensitive, SPECIAL LADY, to say the least ! ! ( To know her is to LOVE her !! ) We are certainly going to miss Irene !! Prayers of comfort and peace for Eddie, Emilyand family.   With Much Love
